We woke up Easter morning to a world clothed in white. It had snowed in the night and the limbs of the hemlock tree outside our bedroom window bent low with the weight of it. And though the daffodils were crushed by the snow, nothing seems to have suffered from the cold. The cherry blossoms are still in tact and the tender new leaves of the roses, foxgloves, hollyhocks, cranesbill, forget-me-nots, and lamb's ears did not mind the strange Easter weather.
Last year at this time we were reveling in the warmth of the Spring sun and the animals were also inclined to stretch their legs...

The flowers around your home sound so lovely! I bet you are excited for them to bloom. I just love hollyhocks and especially foxglove. An Easter covered in snow is not something we see very often here in Ohio. Bet is was so pretty!
